Jeremy Mills Publishing works for a range of clients, including institutes, societies, colleges and livery companies. As our case studies show, Jeremy Mills Publishing offers a wide range of publishing, design and printing services and, because we are a growing company, we also offer excellent customer service.

The Worshipful Company of Painters otherwise Painter-Stainers

Jeremy Mills Publishing has a long history of working for the Company, including the publication of The History of the Worshipful Company of Painters otherwise Painter-Stainers, which was published in 2005. The full design, layout and typesetting of the book was worked on by our design team, and its publication and printing was project managed in-house. A special edition of the book was produced, which was hand-bound in cloth and half-bound in leather. Jeremy Mills Publishing also undertook the project management and design for this edition of the book.

Other projects that Jeremy Mills Publishing has worked on for the Company include the design and printing of the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize Exhibition Catalogue for the last two years. This involved our design team working on the prize-winning images to ensure that each one appeared at its best in the catalogue. The design of the catalogue is fresh and modern, and Jeremy Mills Publishing also produced high-quality flyers and invitations for the exhibition.

Leeds Museums and Galleries

Frank Brangwyn 1857-1956 was the first Leeds Museums and Galleries title to be produced by Jeremy Mills Publishing. The book was brought back into print after the first print run sold extremely well, and was nominated for the Berger Prize for Art History 2007. Jeremy Mills Publishing brought the book back into print, and also handles the marketing and distribution for this title, as well as others previously published by Leeds Museums and Galleries. Under a Jeremy Mills Publishing distribution contract, we resolve to undertake marketing for titles and distribute them via our website and other contacts within the book trade. Using our secure payment system, we are then able to take orders for the books on behalf of our clients.

Jeremy Mills Publishing is currently working on Turner and Leeds: Image of Industry on behalf of Leeds Museums and Galleries. The project has involved a large amount of picture research, and the 145 images in the book were located and the rights managed by a member of our team. By undertaking this work, we were able to solve any rights issues and missing images on behalf of our client. Our design team has also worked on the book, ensuring that each image matches the original as closely as possible and creating a design and layout for the book, as well as a cover design. The book was also proofread by a member of our editorial team, in order to ensure that there were no errors in the work. The editorial, picture research and design work has been fully project managed in-house by a member of our team.

Selwyn College, Cambridge

Selwyn Celebrated 1882-2007 was published by Jeremy Mills Publishing in two editions: a standard and a special edition. It was created for Selwyn College, Cambridge, as a commemorative book to mark the 125th anniversary of the college, and our design team worked very closely with our client in order to produce a special and original publication. The special edition of the book is bound in cloth and comes complete with special endpapers, a ribbon marker, head and tail bands and a luxurious slipcase, upon which the college crest and title lettering have been blocked in gold.

University College Durham Trust

Jeremy Mills Publishing has worked on the design, publication and printing of Durham Castle: Fortress, Palace, College by Richard Brickstock. Published to fund projects for the students of University College, the book was worked on by our editorial and design teams, and was project managed in-house. An editor was assigned to the book, and worked closely with the author in order to produce an informative but interesting text, and the index was created by our professional indexer. The design and typesetting work was done by our design team, who worked on every image individually to ensure that they were of the best quality. Our designers also worked with the client to help decide which images to include and to share ideas on layout and the overall design of the book. This led to a sumptuously illustrated publication that tells the full story of the Castle, and is available in both paperback and hardback editions.
